Weekly Themes, Learning Goals, and Some Additional Costs.
🌟 Each week focuses on a unique skill set that will help campers grow intellectually, emotionally, and physically. (We will notify parents of any food allergies to consider).
Week 1: Nature’s Classroom – Farming & Sustainability (July 2-4)
🎯 Skills Gained: Farming & Growing Food (no additional costs)
🔹 Plant seeds and learn about soil & composting
🔹 Watering & caring for plants daily
🔹 Understanding pollination & plant growth
🔹 Healthy eating challenge: Bring in a new fruits & veggie to show and tell and eat.
Benefits
Campers will learn to grow a healthy leafy green. Campers who are with us for 6 weeks will have the advantage of time to witness their power plant grow while at camp. All campers will have the opportunity to take their plant home.
New for FREE: Each week, parents have the option to register their child(ren) to be a “Manners Planner”. These moments take place during lunch time. Manners Planners will team up and enjoy a gamified activity that encourages setting the “dining” table for the team for lunch, learn dining etiquette, clear with peers, swish the dish, put away then play. This component of camp is designed to encourage kids to be a consistent contributor to the family unit no matter how big or small.

Week 2: Kitchen Confidence – Food Planning and meal creating (July 7-11)
🎯 Skills Gained: Healthy Food Planning & Preparation (add $5/camper for ingredients)
🔹 Learn basic kitchen skills & safety
🔹 Plan a nutritious meal & explore food groups
🔹 Hands-on activities: Making sandwiches, salads, fruit salads, smoothies, and healthy snacks (served Thurs)
🔹 Hygiene & food handling best practices
🔹 Trip to Celebration Square Splash pad (To be confirmed by mid-June. Permission forms will be distributed once trips are finalized).
Benefits
This is a fun week of exploring healthy food options as a meal or snack. Parents will be provided a list of options the week to ensure a consensus of safe snacks with allergies and intolerances taken into serious consideration. We start the Monday with a plan. We will explore 2-3 recipes on Wednesday and Thursday and plate on FUN Friday.

Week 3: Creative Hands – Textiles & Weaving (July 14-18)
🎯 Skills Gained: Sewing, Crochet, Weaving, Knots & Ties (add $5 for materials per camper)
🔹 Learn basic stitching, fabric handling, and pattern cutting
🔹 Make friendship bracelets and woven crafts
🔹 Challenge: Who can tie the strongest knot?
🔹 Create a simple drawstring pouch, pillow, apron, or place mats.
🔹 Trip to Mini-golf and batting cages (to be confirmed by mid-June. Permission forms will be distributed once trips are finalized).
Benefits
These activities are designed to develop mental focus, fine motor skills, and confidence from personal achievement. Creative Kindergartens (ages 4-6) will create friendship bracelets (no cost).

Under the supervision of coaches, Creative hands for Christmas in July (ages 7+) will learn to safely handle scissors, needle and thread as they work on simple stitch work to create either a Christmas apron or Christmas place mat(s). In addition to developing fine motor skills, campers will also enhance their eye-hand coordination, learn patience and attention to detail, and promotes consumer awareness. At the end of this project, campers will have a deeper appreciation for textiles, apparel, and the environment. Week 4: Build It & Fix It – Engineering & Mechanics (July 21 – 25) & LEGO Week
🎯 Skills Gained: Woodworking, Mechanics, and Imagination LEGO STATION
🔹 Introduction to basic tools and safety
🔹 Build a small project (example birdhouse, key holder) – $10-$20 extra (cost to be confirmed in May)
🔹 or Discover how wheels and gears work
🔹 Trip to see “The SMURFS” (to be confirmed by mid-June. Permission forms will be distributed once trips are finalized).
(Optional STEM toys are $20 extra for 7 years old + only 15 available.)
Benefits
Imagine, create, and design; build, assemble, dissemble, fix, develop mental focus, fine motor skills, and confidence from personal achievement. Rookies (ages 4-6/7) will create LEGO stories in their imagination station (borrowed LEGO has no cost). Diamond Steves (ages 7-9) and GoPros (ages 10-12) have the option to work on assembling a 12 in 1 solar powered robot as shown above. (Only $20 per robot).

Week 5: Adventure Week– Survival & Practical Skills (July 29 – Aug 2)
🎯 Skills Gained: Knots, Ties & Outdoor Survival Skills (no additional costs)
🔹 Survival skills: Learn knots for camping & rescue
🔹 Teamwork: Rope games & challenges: “THE FLOOR IS LAVA!!”
🔹 Trip to Kariya Park Scavenger Hunt (to be confirmed by mid-June. Permission forms will be distributed once trips are finalized).
🔹 Trip to the Fire Station on Thur. July 31 from 10 am -11 am (Station 118 for St. Raymond; Station 121 for St. Veronica). There is no cost to visit the Fire Station.
Benefits
Learning to tie knots develops fine motor skills, spatial awareness, problem-solving abilities, and sequential thinking. It also enhances visual perception, memory, and attention to detail, as well as providing practical skills applicable in various contexts.
“The Floor is Lava” encourages imagination, creativity, and teamwork while challenging the campers’ physical abilities, gross motor skills, balance, coordination, risk and reward, communication, and perseverance.
Visiting the firemen at their fire stations gives campers the opportunity to learn about fire safety and emergency protocol. The campers are often allowed to aim the fire hose at a target and get to sit in the Fire Truck.

Week 6: Showcase Week – Bringing It All Together (Aug 5 – 8) GRAND FINALE
🎯 Focus: Project-Based Learning & Celebrating Growth (no additional costs)
🔹 Campers complete a final project using all skills learned
🔹 Showcase Day: Parents & guests see camper creations during their lunch hour on Thursday
🔹 Reflection & Fun Awards Ceremony.
🔹 Trip to the Rec Room for Bowling fun and more (to be confirmed by mid-June. Permission forms will be distributed once trips are finalized).
Benefits
Whether this the camper’s first week or sixth week, campers will be celebrating the love for learning as they reflect on their abilities and accomplishments. It’s a time to showcase, recognize, and reward. Favorite games are played filling the atmosphere with love and laughter. FUN and unforgettable times. We are so honored to have served the families in our community and so proud of each individual.
