Under the supervision of coaches, Creative hands for Christmas in July (ages 7+) will learn to safely handle scissors, needle and thread as they work on simple stitch work to create either a Christmas apron or Christmas place mat(s). In addition to developing fine motor skills, campers will also enhance their eye-hand coordination, learn patience and attention to detail, and promotes consumer awareness. At the end of this project, campers will have a deeper appreciation for textiles, apparel, and the environment. Each week, parents have the option to register their child(ren) to be a “Manners Planner”. These moments take place during lunch time. Manners Planners will team up and enjoy a gamified activity that encourages setting the “dining” table for the team for lunch, learn dining etiquette, clear with peers, swish the dish, put away then play. This component of camp is designed to encourage kids to be a consistent contributor to the family unit no matter how big or small.
Ask about our pickleball programs. Don’t know how to play? That’s ok! We can teach you. Warning! It’s addictive. Also, ask about our free youth basketball programs in the fall for grades 4 and up.
